Our firm is the third generation of a family of lawyers who have dedicated themselves to helping clients through the challenges of divorce, the joy of an adoption, or the closing of an era with a succession. Tracy Petruccelli and Kristen Pouey Barton are a mother and daughter team working together to represent their clients.



About





Mary Petruccelli founded the firm in 1973 and was the first woman to open a private law office in St. Bernard Parish. A true trailblazer, she established a reputation for excellent representation of her clients. In 1988, immediately upon admission to the bar, Tracy Petruccelli joined the firm and quickly gained her own reputation for diligent and successful representation of clients. With much pride and anticipation, Mary and Tracy welcomed Tracy's daughter, Kristen Pouey Barton, to the firm in 2017, upon her admission to the bar.
Our office was in St. Bernard Parish until August of 2005, when the flood waters from Hurricane Katrina pushed 14 feet of water into our office. We relocated to Covington in October of 2005.

Tracy Petruccelli



Principle Attorney



Tracy is a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law ('88), She practiced with her mother, Mary, for 25 years. In law school, Tracy was a member of the Loyola Law Review and the Moot Court Board. She has served the community in various cultural, civic, and philanthropic capacities. She is delighted to have her daughter, Kristen, join her in the practice. Tracy is licensed to practice in the State of Louisiana and is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, 34th JDC Bar Association, and 22nd JDC Bar Association.



Kristen Pouey Barton



Associate Attorney



Kristen is a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law ('17). While in law school, Kristen was a member of the Loyola Law Review and was a William L. Crowe, Sr. Scholar, graduating in the top ten percent of her class. She was also recognized for receiving the highest grades in Obligations I, Torts I, First Amendment, Conflict of Laws, and Bankruptcy. Kristen is licensed to practice in the State of Louisiana and is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, 34th JDC Bar Association, and 22nd JDC Bar Association.



Mary Petruccelli
(1938-2023)



Founder



Mary was a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law ('73), and practiced law for nearly 50 years. She was the first female attorney to open a law office in St. Bernard Parish, and served the St. Bernard community as a leader of several local organizations. Her legal legacy continues through her daughter, Tracy, and her granddaughter, Kristen.
